This trade offers a lifelong skill with great pay. This trade demands skill, training, hard work and a commitment to detail. The rewards for this trade are many, such as, EXCELLENT pay and benefits, versatility concerning jobsites and skills and a strong sense of immediate accomplishment as the job progresses. Don’t think there is not paperwork in a construction trade! A high-earning journeyman and/or foreman is required to keep good records of job activity and production.

Tasks and abilities:

Be EXTREMELY dependable.

Perform the work safely, consistently and in an organized manner.

Able to work outdoors in all seasons.

Comfortably work on a ladder and scaffolding in heights.

Learn or be capable of reading construction drawings and/or documents.

Be physically fit and capable of lifting 75 to 100+ pounds or more.

Capable of meeting production guidelines.

Have good hand-eye coordination.

Mechanically inclined.

Work flexible hours including weekends and evenings when

necessary.

Properly complete the required paperwork for the trade/job/company.

Have good transportation to various jobsites.

A positive CAN-DO attitude with problem solving skills.

Capable of working alone and being self-motivated.

Have or purchase personal tools required for the position.

Complete the requirements of an apprenticeship per union guidelines.

All other duties as assigned.

Each employee is expected to have their own tools and keep them in good working condition.

Commercial grade tube gun

Putty knives (2)

Flat blade razor knife

Full set of dry tools (⅜", ½", ⅝", ¾", ⅞", 1",1 ½")

Full set of pointing tools (⅜", ½", ⅝", ¾", ⅞", 1",1 ½")

Tuckpointer hawk

Margin trowel (1 ½" and 2")

Dusting brush

Watch or timer for mixing caulk
